About Maura
My Story
I am Maura Simmons, a wife for 35 years. We have a daughter who gets to be home with her children while her husband is serving in the military. My son and daughter in law are also serving in the military. I have 8 grandchildren, And one of my favorite things to do is getting to go and take care of them or just visit them for the last 18 years. Yep, I guess I like to travel! I also enjoy seeing God’s places He has created, especially water, like rivers, lakes, ocean and beaches which I have been blessed to see in my travels. Family, God Has Blessed me with a wonderful family who also loves their family’s as much as I do.
Remember, as my Uncle told me, “The greatest gift you can give someone is the gift of time”, Pray for and spend time with your family.
Inspiration in writing
First of all inspiration came from God. I enjoy snuggling and reading to all of my grandchildren. It just came over time when we had one of our Grandson’s Living with us and he wanted to participate in the books I was reading to him, So together even tho he was very little I started drawing and teaching him how to point and learn “Where are God’s Things”
